Similarly to our variable pitch propeller hubs, these fans can be adjusted during operation and can be controlled by electric, pneumatic, hydraulic or by manual cables. These are perfect for hovercraft applications where variable flows will ease the design process. Additionally the ability to change the volume and pressure under the hovercraft can help with both cargo capacity as well as terrain changes. This hovercraft is using the newest variation of our close bag hovercraft skirt system, with an integrated air volume controller. The operator can quickly adjust the volume of air that is being used in the bag (controlling bag pressure) or redirect that airflow into the chamber under the hovercraft. This results in easy corrections for hovercraft height, airflow and drag for changing surfaces airflow requirements. Contact USHovercraft for information about our latest skirt system and the improvements it can add to your hovercraft.

Commercial Hovercraft Controls

Commercial Hovercraft Controls
Originally uploaded by ushovercraft
This is the control system for the latest twin variable pitch propeller hovercraft. In May of 2009 the website was down due to a virus that was embedded in the website coding. The website had to be relocated and rebuilt. The origin of the virus was never determined.

There was about 5 years of updates and hovercraft information on the news section of the old website that was not able to be reused. USHovercraft will start reposting some of the information on this new website.

The pictures and the videos that existed on servers that were not infected by the virus are still available online. There are more than 500 pictures and more than 20 videos that were saved and are accessible on the links above.
